A few pix

Logan and his eye...gets worse before it gets better.

Pretty girl...

Caden's 6th, Logan's 3rd, and Presley's 1st Christmas

It was a wonderful unconventional Christmas this year. We didn't have to go anywhere!

The boys and Pres enjoyed Christmas Eve Candlelight Service...they were so good and got to hold their own candles and everything.

We spent Christmas Night with our wonderful neighbors and when we got home, Logan fell out of a bucket and blacked his eye. Caden ran next door to get Daddy and yelled, "Logan broke his arm"...Nick and Daddy came running. Note to self, Get Caden to yell that when Logan has a dirty diaper!!! :)

Mama Sue came and enjoyed playing with all the toys as much as the kids. Nick bought the boys (I mean HEath) a remote control boat that we enjoyed at the lake.

Presley got a bracelet to wear at her dedication (which was on Sunday -- pictures to come later), baby dolls, and some toys.

Here are a few pictures from the week:

Daddy bought Presley a bracelet.

Uncle Nick bought Presley her look a like doll

And Mr. Toughguy...don't feel too sorry for him...He didn't even cry until I put ice on it and he points to his other eye when you ask him if he hurt his eye.

Presley and her Mama Sue

They boys remote control dinosaur had a thing for Mama Sue and Presley...

Merry Christmas!

Random Thoughts

As I deal with my problems the day before Christmas Eve...I think of friends and family battling cancer, I think of my friends with fertility problems, I think of the man on the news who had $3 in his pocket and no food in his fridge, I think of the mothers who have lost their children, and I thank God for my petty problems.

However, your issues are still your issues...people hurt you, putting it into prospective...it still hurts even though you are lucky its not something bigger.

I'm listening to my favorite artist, Jewel...her lyrics give me so much peace.

If I could tell the world just one thing
It would be that we're all OK
And not to worry 'cause worry is wasteful
And useless in times like these
I won't be made useless
I won't be idle with despair
I will gather myself around my faith
For light does the darkness most fear
My hands are small, I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken
Poverty stole your golden shoes
It didn't steal your laughter
And heartache came to visit me
But I knew it wasn't ever after
We'll fight, not out of spite
For someone must stand up for what's right
'Cause where there's a man who has no voice
There ours shall go singing
My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
I am never broken
In the end only kindness matters
In the end only kindness matters
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray
My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken
My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken
We are never broken
We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's mind
We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's heart
We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's eyes
We are God's hands
We are God's hands

I also got an IPOD for Christmas, my first one!!!! Thank you. Anyway, I found the song by Martina McBride called In my Daughters eyes, which I'd never thought about before...It means so much to me now that I have a daughter. My kids keep me going when I feel distracted, frustrated or hurt...My Logan holds my hand and says, I got you, Mommy when I cry and Caden just trys so hard to cheer me up...Presley, well all she has to do is be near and my heart smiles.

In my Daughter's Eyes
In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the
world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me
strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes

And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about

It's hangin' on when your heart
has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes

The Theatre

Saturday Heath went to the Katy State Game so I took the kids to a Crazy Kids Christmas Show at a local church. It was great...funny and the boys were just engrossed by the show. So many moms had their one child with them and had a hard time keeping them focused on the play the entire hour. Mine were glued to there seat and listened to every word. Presley was awake and even stood in my lap and did her hula hoop dance...(She gets excited and locks her knees and her hips go in circles).

Saturday night Presley and I went out to dinner with Krystal..it was a great girls night!

Sunday we skipped church for Disney Live. We'd been before...I don't think Logan remembered but Caden sure did. They were selling $20 light toys that were probably not even worth $5...we told the kids if they wanted one, it was all they'd get for Christmas...they opted to wait...smart boys!!

There was a 2 year old girl that wanted to look at PResley the entire show. She got really tired half way through and started crying. Logan patted her back...again Rico Suave.

HOw many kids can we fit into the bath tub?

Caden insisted the fish make the picture

I have the same shot of Caden at 3 months old...I'll try and find the hard copy and scan in...man, I should've gotten that scanner...

Mama & Papa's Cabinet

Mom, Jack and Sandra,

Thank you for giving me Mama and Papa's China Cabinet and Crystal. I'll forever look at it and be reminded of my grandparents...and will pass it down to Presley someday.

Christmas Spirit

If she doesn't put you into the Christmas spirit...nothing will!

The boys had there Christmas party on Thursday and were SO Excited!!! They had great presents for Mommy and Daddy and got spoiled by there friends and teachers!

Logan got a stocking stamp and this morning when he left, I found he'd decorated his baby sister...(See her shins)

he is also sporting like 10 stamps at school this morning.

This morning when they left for school someone had decorated our garage with magnetic christmas decorations and the boys were SO EXCITED. We didn't see anyone else having them and have no idea who did it! Caden said, I bet Jesus came down from heaven and decorated it for us. Maybe, Buddy!!

Merry Christmas!!

It's my Party and I'll cry if I want to...

Well, I am officially old. I turned 30 yesterday....

Thank you to my husband for organizing a terrific party!

We had a great group of wonderful friends at dinner and afterward at Baker Street! Thanks so much to everyone for sharing the evening with me and for all the cards and gifts!!!

Rob and Angie

Blake and Cory...(Cari and Nanci joined us after dinner for drinks...thanks guys for representing!!)

Nick and Brittany...aren't they so cute!! :)

Wesley and Sarah

Rick and Angie

Sam and Christie

Justin and Ashley

Ice Trey and Ice Maker aka (Trey and Krystal)

A few friends escaped getting captured on film...Leslie and Brent and Justin and everyone that met us a Baker St..

One really cool thing about turning 30...is that my Mom had me when she was 30 and since I had Presley this year we are all 30 years apart. 1948, 1978, 2008.

Dad & Laurie, thanks for the tulips...they are beautiful!

Caden looked at the pictures from my party and asked if I had my party at JC Penney...I thought that was funny! Logan sang me Happy Birthday: "Happy Birthday to Poop, Happy Birthday to Poopy Mommy"...and it was even cute.

I even got to talk to my three best friends from College...Elaine, Angela and Clarissa...
