Christmas Day

For the first year ever we let the kids sleep in their own beds and awake to Santa on their own, we heard screams and Caden waking Presley on the monitor and Logan running in saying, Santa came, Santa came...

Pure Joy...it doesn't get any better than this.
Even Hank found a toy or two to enjoy!

Our little Jedi's

Miss Ariel in Training...

Caden's first bb gun, for target practice and to learn responsible gun ownership.  Think, The Christmas Story!
Sporting panties and new tennies on her vanity...
Presley's first hair client -- her Poppa.
Too  many chocolate cake balls = missing teeth!
Hank's Pj's.

We are very hopeful that 2011 will bring even more joy than 2010, and maybe a little better luck!!!!

Christmas Vacation???

I had two weeks of vacation saved up for Christmas, normally I would go to FW but my Mom has been put on restricted activity so we decided three kids wouldn't be the best for her...

Day 1 of vacation, I awoke to my two year old daughter screaming "No, Hank" and coming into my bedroom holding a puppy and both of them covered in dog poop.

Day 2 of vacation, Heath tore his ACL playing basketball...he has surgery in January.  At this point, I should of realiized.

Honestly, we enjoyed our Christmas celebration, the most memorable year ever as all three of our children have an understanding of Jesus' Birthday as well as all believe in Santa Claus.

We managed a lot of time with Hank,

We built a gingerbread house...

Presley and I enjoyed a pedicure...

We enjoyed a Christmas play with the Coates Girls...

 And Christmas Eve pj party!

Kid Update

So, Presley is OBSESSED with The Little Mermaid. She watches it about 4 times a day and I know we as parents shouldn't permit that, but you try to live with a high pitched 2 year old saying, "Ariel, Ariel, Ariel, Watch Ariel, My watch Ariel please, Ariel, Ariel, Ariel?" this on a constant, never wavering loop.

So, she watches Ariel. Everyone in our house knows every word and the boys are about to throw the DVD out the window!

Yesterday at Chic Fila Heath gave Presley a Fork for her fruit, she got excited and said, A Dinglehopper!

Logan is still a major worm, funny as ever. He is copping a bit of an attitude lately, I think he realized he is super cool, so we are trying to keep his ego in check. If I ask him to repeat himself or he gets frustrated, he reminds me of a teenager with his annoyance. But if he hurts your feelings he is usually really quick to give you a big sloppy open mouth 10 second kiss! :)

I just love the age Caden is right now, he is so smart and sweet. His reading is AWESOME and has a 98 in Math. He is just fun to be around, especially one on one.

As always he LOVES Christmas. However, this year he is very inquisitive about the whole Santa idea. So we let him in on a secret and made him promise not to tell Logan & Presley, we told him that the Santa's at the mall were not really Santa, but helpers. He said, I knew it, I knew Santa couldn't go to every mall that close to Christmas. Crisis, averted, for now. And if he tells me another little Stinker from first grade with older siblings tells him he's not real, I will scream! We told him to feel sorry for those boys, when you don't believe, Santa doesn't visit...his reply, I believe!

Mama Sue Update: Her spirits are HIGH and she is doing great. She has been diagnosed with Myxoma which is a rare, usually non-cancerous heart tumor. We expect surgery but her next step in treatment is a MRI, just pray she keep her positive spirit and give her strength to survive her MRI (she is very claustrophobic).
